Joint Meeting of the Implementers and Supervisors of the National Metallogeny Project of Iran

The meeting was held on 5 Mehr 1405 (October 27, 2026), in the conference hall of the Research Institute for Earth Sciences, with the participation of the project supervisors, Dr. Mohammad Lotfi, Dr. Majid Ghaderi, and Mr. Alireza Babakhani, and the project implementers, Dr. Talebian, Dr. Majidi-Fard, Dr. Sheikholeslami, Dr. Ghasemi, Dr. Akbarpour, Dr. Mohammadi-Vijeh, Dr. Pourkerman, and Dr. Jamali.

First, Dr. Majidi-Fard provided explanations regarding the process of assigning projects by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and the preparation of the preliminary terms of reference. Subsequently, Dr. Jamali briefly explained the project's implementation process, the preparation of the general terms of reference for the project and its ten subprojects, the methodology of the work, and the metallogeny of Iran. Finally, the participants discussed scheduling future meetings and agreed to hold a joint meeting with the respected supervisors on the second Sunday of each month.

The supervisors then explained the project's objectives and implementation procedures, discussed the challenges and problems, and exchanged views with the implementers on possible solutions. They also recommended consulting other experts, reviewing previous studies, and considering the metallogeny of neighboring and developed countries.
