Applied Mineralogy and Mineral Exploration Research Group

Introduction
Economic geology and mining exploration engineering is the study and investigation of a part of the materials that make up the earth's crust that can have industrial and economic applications and increase and create better living conditions in human life. These materials include metallic and non-metallic minerals, decorative and ornamental stones, which are usually called deposits. Understanding how deposits are formed, as well as how they are distributed and their relationship with other parts of the earth sciences, including petrology and tectonics and structural geology, remote sensing, geochemistry and geophysics, are among the goals of this group. Exploration of deposits has various stages from preliminary to detailed, and exploration specialists decide on the continuation of exploration at the end of each neighborhood, considering the increase or decrease in the probability of discovery and the estimate of the costs incurred and foreseeable. This knowledge is one of the most attractive sciences due to its connection with nature, which also has specific applications in environmental and geochemical issues.
