Emphasis on the Role of Elites in Addressing National Challenges at a Meeting with the Advisor to the Supreme Leader

The Advisor and Assistant to the Supreme Leader emphasized the country’s scientific and specialized capacities and the need for elites to play an active role in addressing the current critical circumstances, stating: “We are at a historical turning point today; however, the Islamic Republic of Iran will undoubtedly emerge victorious from the war imposed on Iran by the United States.”

Dr. Mohammad Mokhber, speaking at a meeting with a group of the country’s young elites, referred to the situation in the aftermath of the war and stated: “Following the war, the religious and national commitment of the country’s elites was greatly strengthened. This demonstrated that even under the most difficult circumstances, the country’s scientific, specialized, and human capacities can be mobilized to continue the path of progress.”

Referring to Iran’s resilience under the current challenging circumstances, he added: “The world is now expressing astonishment at Iran’s level of resilience. This resilience demonstrates that the country’s capabilities under difficult conditions are far greater than what the enemy has anticipated.”

The Advisor and Assistant to the Supreme Leader, referring to the United States’ years-long efforts to establish hegemony in the region and the world, stated: “The United States had invested for years in establishing such hegemony, but Iran’s resistance in recent months has altered many of these calculations and demonstrated that structures that appear firmly established can also be transformed.”

The Member of the Expediency Discernment Council emphasized the need for elites to move toward addressing the country’s challenges, stating: “This war proved an important reality: challenges can be overcome. Today, every elite should ask themselves: ‘Where do I stand in this country? What are the key challenges within my area of expertise? What problem can I help solve? What are my capacities? What are the country’s capacities? And what action should I take?’ Following this, it is our responsibility to support the country’s elites and provide the necessary conditions for their ideas and capabilities to bear fruit.”

Emphasizing Iran’s extensive capabilities, he noted: “Iran is a resource-rich country, and combining the capabilities of its talented and knowledgeable people with its natural resources and geopolitical potential can create a foundation for Iran to emerge as a major global power, provided that sustained effort, systematic work, and perseverance remain on the agenda.”

Dr. Mokhber added: “We must properly identify the country’s capacities and develop plans to transform these capacities into power and added value. The enemy should also know that Iran still has important cards that it has not yet played.”

The Advisor and Assistant to the Supreme Leader called on the country’s elites to pursue solutions to national challenges, stating: “Move toward developing effective frameworks for addressing the country’s challenges. The affairs of the country will not be left unattended; what matters is that, through action and achievement, you place yourselves among those who have stood in support of their country during these historic days.”

He also emphasized the importance of broad public participation in addressing national challenges, stating: “Launch a grassroots movement for problem-solving and do not allow the country’s intellectual and expert capacities to remain confined within limited administrative frameworks.”

Dr. Mokhber, referring to the professional paths available to the country’s elites, stated: “Obtaining a government position or official post is not necessarily the best path for an elite individual to make an impact. In some cases, holding a government position may actually limit their potential to contribute to solving the country’s challenges.”

He added: “Increase productivity. By doing so, you will both contribute to addressing some of the country’s challenges and create wealth for yourselves.”

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Advisor and Assistant to the Supreme Leader emphasized the importance of synergy and cooperation among the country’s elites, stating: “I am confident that you can accomplish great things, provided that you work together and combine your capacities.”

More than 20 of the country’s elites, including Dr. Majid Pourkerman, a faculty member of the Research Institute for Earth Sciences, attended the meeting and shared their views, challenges, and proposals in various fields, including artificial intelligence, communications, economics, medicine, emerging technologies, humanities, and other areas of expertise.
