The closing ceremony of the geological transformation and mineral exploration project in the southern part of West Azerbaijan Province was held.

According to the public relations of the Geological Survey and Mineral Exploration Organization of the country, the closing ceremony of the geological transformation and mineral reserves exploration project in the southern part of West Azerbaijan province.

At the beginning of this ceremony, the Governor of West Azerbaijan, while wishing the attendees at this meeting good luck and worship, and appreciating the presence of Dr. Dariush Esmaili, Deputy Minister of Mines and Mineral Explorations and Head of the Geology and Mineral Exploration Organization of the country, said: He holds the rank of professor and full professor at the University of Tehran and has a brilliant record in the field of geology for many years and is also active in the field of mining and mining activities.

Mr. Reza Rahmani, stating that he was the head of the country's engineering system in the past, the head of the mining and mineral industries committee in the industries and mines commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, and the deputy minister of mines in the Ministry of Mines and Mineral Exploration, added: Today, he is also present in the capacity of the deputy minister of mine and head of the Geology and Mineral Exploration Organization of the country, and I am very happy that he is the deputy of West Azerbaijan province.

He expressed his satisfaction with his presence and said: With the grace of God, we can further activate the capacities of West Azerbaijan province because, according to statistics, West Azerbaijan province ranks 6th in mineral reserves and 3rd in mineral diversity in the country.

The Governor of West Azerbaijan, stating that the rank of this province in all sectors is remarkable, stated: In terms of added value in the country, we are ranked 22nd in mining, 19th in industry, and 10th in agriculture, and God has given us all the facilities here, but in the industry and mining sectors, processing and investment units should be established.

Stating that West Azerbaijan province has produced over 2,000 kilos of gold for the country, Rahmani reminded: Carrying out the development plan and the presence of Mr. Esmaili is a historic event for the province and we will use his presence.

Stating that we would like the mining sector to be more active as one of the important capacities of the province, he added: With the information that was given, I feel that it can be referred to as a "mineral revolution", which of course requires mechanisms that need to be discussed.

The Governor of West Azerbaijan expressed hope that we will witness more presence of the Head of the Geological and Mineral Exploration Organization of the country as the deputy head of West Azerbaijan province.

By implementing the geological development plan in West Azerbaijan, 60% of exploration risk was overcome.

The Deputy Minister of Mines and Minerals and Head of the Geology and Mineral Exploration Organization of the country continued by stating that the statistics and figures over the next year will show the extent of the impact of West Azerbaijan Province on the progress of the country, and said: The Geology and Mineral Exploration Organization of the country will serve the country, especially West Azerbaijan Province, with all its might and potential.

Dr. Dariush Esmaili added: In addition to being the head of the Geology and Mineral Exploration Organization of the country, I have also been selected as the Deputy Minister of West Azerbaijan and Khuzestan by the Minister of Mines and Minerals and I consider it my duty to follow up on the major issues of the country and the province.

Stating that the geological development plan and mineral exploration in West Azerbaijan province has been completed in an area of 7,500 square kilometers in West Azerbaijan province, he stated: Initial explorations have been carried out in this area and 36 projects have been implemented in this area, including the preparation of three geological layers, geochemistry and economic potentials, the results of which will be presented to the province today.

Deputy Minister Samat noted: The work of the Geological and Mineral Exploration Organization of the country has come to this point and we have shown what mineral potential exists in which areas, and from now on, this information will be provided to the Ministry's Deputy for Mining to be handed over to IMIDRO or put up for auction.

He added: "From now on, the main exploration will begin, and up to this stage and the studies conducted by the Geological and Mineral Exploration Organization of the country, up to 60 percent of the exploration risk has been left behind."

Referring to the results of the development plan in West Azerbaijan, Esmaili said: "11 gold anomalies from about 50 ppb to 5 ppm of gold have been introduced, and copper anomalies have been observed in four out of 12 sheets, the amount of which is estimated to be from two percent to 18 percent, which is a very good number because currently, a grade of two-tenths of a percent is referred to as the economic potential for copper."

Stating that 5 out of 12 sheets have iron ore anomalies, the head of the Geological and Mineral Exploration Organization of the country clarified: "In some analyzes and results, 88 percent was shown as the highest number, which indicates magnetite in these areas, and manganese was also observed in one of the sheets with about 12 percent."

He added: Lead and zinc have also been reported in three sheets, and in this way, we can have the presence of gold, copper, iron, manganese, and lead and zinc anomalies in this 7,500-kilometer distance. Certainly, if the next activities in these areas are carried out at the speed, we hope to reach the final result within the next year and a half and issue an exploitation license for these complexes.

Dr Esmaili noted: The Geological and Mineral Exploration Organization of the country considers it its duty to be present as a deputy of West Azerbaijan Province if needed.

It is worth mentioning that in this plan, which was carried out in the form of 36 projects in the southern cities of Bukan, Mahabad, Miandoab and Shahindezh province, 7,500 square kilometers of mining areas in West Azerbaijan province were identified as potential investment areas for exploration, and ultimately 11 gold areas, 5 iron areas, 8 copper areas, 1 manganese area and 3 lead and zinc areas, and a total of 28 potential areas were identified in the form of a geological development plan and exploration of mineral reserves in the south of West Azerbaijan province by the Geological and Mineral Exploration Organization of the country.
